Frequently Asked Questions

What does Whip Gold do?

Whip Gold helps small brands, salons, wellness businesses, creators and boutique retailers launch small-batch skincare and personal care products without needing large minimum order quantities.

We currently focus on moisturiser jars and 500 ml hand wash bottles, with plans to expand the range over time.

What products can I order now?

Our current starter range includes:

  • Premium Moisturiser
  • Premium Hand Wash

These products are available in small batch quantities and are supplied as basic unlabelled products.

Are the products labelled?

No. Labels are not included in the basic batch price.

Your order includes the product batch itself, standard packaging and production support. Label design, label printing and label application can be arranged separately if required.

This keeps the first step simple and allows you to test the product before committing to full branding.

Can I use my own brand name?

Yes. The products are suitable for private label branding.

You can use your own business name, product name and brand direction. Labels and branding are handled separately after the basic batch is ordered.

What is the minimum order quantity?

MOQs start from as low as 10 units, depending on the product.

Current starter batch options are designed for small businesses that want to test demand without committing to hundreds or thousands of units.

Why are the batches so small?

Whip Gold is designed for small brands and early-stage product launches.

Small batches allow you to test your idea, create samples, sell to existing customers, build launch content or supply your own business before scaling up.

Who is this for?

Whip Gold is ideal for:

  • skincare and personal care brands
  • beauty salons
  • wellness businesses
  • boutique accommodation providers
  • barbers and hairdressers
  • gift and client pack products
  • boutique retail stores
  • small businesses wanting to launch their first product

Do I need to have an existing brand?

No. You can start with a basic unlabelled batch first.

This gives you a way to test the product, create content, gather feedback and decide how you want to position your brand before investing in labels and packaging design.

Can Whip Gold help with labels?

Yes. Label support can be arranged separately if required.

This may include label direction, artwork requirements, label sizing, printing options and label application. Any label-related work is quoted separately from the basic product batch.

Can I supply my own labels?

Yes. You may be able to supply your own labels, provided they are suitable for the packaging format and meet the required size, material and application requirements.

Whip Gold can confirm label specifications after your batch is ordered.

Are the formulas custom?

The starter range uses standard Whip Gold base formulas.

This keeps the process simple, practical and suitable for small batches. Fully custom formulation may be considered later, but the current focus is on proven formulas, standardised packaging and low-risk launch quantities.

Can I change the fragrance, colour or ingredients?

The current starter range is based on standard formulas to keep costs and complexity low.

Customisation may be limited for small batches. If you need fragrance, colour or formula changes, contact Whip Gold before ordering to confirm whether it is possible.

Are the products made in Australia?

Yes. Whip Gold products are handcrafted in small batches on the Mornington Peninsula, Australia.

What does “small-batch” mean?

Small-batch means products are made in smaller production runs rather than large factory-scale quantities.

This approach is well suited to emerging brands, test batches, small retail launches, client gifts and businesses wanting to start carefully before scaling up.

How does ordering work?

Choose your product, select your batch size and pay upfront through the website.

After your order is received, Whip Gold will contact you by email to confirm product details, production timing, packaging and any optional label support.

Do I pay upfront?

Yes. Starter batches are paid upfront to secure production allocation and keep the process simple.

Production begins once your order and final batch details have been confirmed.

How long does production take?

Production timing depends on current batch scheduling, ingredient availability, packaging availability and order volume.

Whip Gold will confirm estimated timing by email after your order is received.

Is shipping included?

Shipping is calculated at checkout or confirmed separately depending on the product, batch size and delivery address.

Small batches are generally packed for parcel delivery. Larger or custom orders may require separate freight arrangements.

What packaging do you use?

The current starter range uses standardised packaging to keep the process efficient.

Current packaging includes:

  • moisturiser jars
  • 500 ml hand wash pump bottles

Future packaging options may include additional jar sizes, pump bottles and other personal care formats.

Can I order samples first?

Starter batches are already designed to be small and low-risk. If sample options are available, they will be listed on the website or confirmed by Whip Gold.

Can I resell the products?

Yes. The products are designed to support private label and small business resale, provided your final labelling, product claims and sales materials are appropriate for your market.

You are responsible for ensuring your brand, product claims and final labels are suitable for how you intend to sell the product.

Can I make therapeutic claims?

No therapeutic or medical claims should be made unless you have obtained appropriate regulatory advice and approvals.

The products should be positioned as cosmetic or personal care products. Avoid claims relating to treating, curing or preventing medical conditions.

Can I sell these products online?

Yes. These products can be suitable for ecommerce, salon retail, boutique retail, gifting, accommodation amenities and direct customer sales.

You will need your own product images, labels, product descriptions and sales channel setup.

What products may be available in the future?

Whip Gold may expand into:

  • cleansers
  • body wash
  • shampoo
  • conditioner
  • salon products
  • serums
  • additional jar formats
  • additional pump bottle formats

The range is starting focused so we can maintain quality, consistency and a practical small-batch process.

Why start with only moisturiser and hand wash?

Moisturiser and hand wash are practical, useful and easy for customers to understand.

They are suitable for many business types and are strong first products for small brands wanting to test demand before expanding into a larger range.

Can I order larger quantities later?

Yes. The goal is to help you start small, test demand and grow carefully.

If your first batch performs well, you can discuss larger quantities or future product options with Whip Gold.

What happens after I place an order?

After checkout, Whip Gold will contact you by email to confirm:

  • selected product
  • batch size
  • production timing
  • packaging details
  • delivery details
  • optional label support if required
